I know there's many threads here about this topic, but to be quite honest I feel I'm going round in circles, and all the websites I look at, don't answer my specific needs.

My criteria are quite simple (so I think) ....

Colour screen
MS Outlook 2003 compatable - so I can synch contacts, diary and email between PDA and PC
Can run TomTom on it, with camera locations, etc
Ability to send/receive email (existing pop3 account)

Nice to haves:
MS Office 2003 compatable
Ability to surf web

Budget: not too fussed - but I'm thinking around around the £200-£300 mark. I know I'll have to pay more for dashboard mounting kit, gps aerial, memory cards, software, etc, etc ....

And if it's a phone too - then that's ok - but not a specific requirement. All I can say is that if it is a phone - then would have to be used on T-Mobile network.

Can someone please help?

I'm sure I can dig out a beer token or 5 as a thanks.

Many thanks in advance,

K

I have just bought a HP Ipaq Hx2750. Fantastic bit of kit. ( Ebay was my friend ) I also bought a Compact flash gps receiver and tomtom5, again from ebay.
Best thing I've done for ages.
Email. Net, contacts, nav, all in one device.

I've got an XDAIIi from o2 - run Tomtom5 with a bluetooth GPS and a transcend 1Gb SD card. I can send and receive emails via gprs, sync to my work and home PC via wifi, surf the net, etc and use it as a phone.

It's also available from T-mobile, etc.

If you get one and want to use Tomtom 5 on it, make sure that you get a transcend sd card as its the only one I've found that works with TT5 without crashing.

I've tried and bought different cards from scandisk to kingston 133x Ultimate cards and none work as well as the transcend....

Just had a look on o2 website and they are now selling for £99.99 on a monthly tariff of £19.
