How did you update it?

If you did it through the browser then this is abit flaky. You can download the installer from the flash site and run it manually. That seems to work.

Do you have the AdBlock extension installed in Firefox?

With adblock you need to make sure you don't have Obj-Tabs selected or the latest version of flash doesn't work
