Yes, we are all going to die of bird flu but dont panic because its all the fault of a convicted fraudster. Well thats all right then, at least there is somebody for the media to blame.

A tiny wake up call......

IT'S BIRD FLU!!!!

It isn't any nearer infecting humans than when it was milling around China killing birds last year, the year before that etc.

This is so much media hype - as usual when the news channels get hold of a big gloom and doom story - it'll be old news in a couple of weeks, and everyone will forget it, because the virus hasn't mutated into a strain that can infect humans.

The avian flu spreading across Europe at the moment is behaving exactly like any flu' virus would - it is slowly circling the world, having it's fun, and once immunity is established within bird populations it will fade away - a cycle that usually takes 4-5 years. Exactly as it happens with humans.

Yes, there will be a pandemic - it may be this year, next year, or in 50 years time - but it will happen, and people will die. But it may not be bird flu - it could just as easily be a mutated strain of human flu.

Let's start SERIOUSLY worrying if a brand of human flu intermingles with a viral haemorrhagic fever (e.g. Ebola, Marburg) - then we really are in trouble!!
