Nearly every night i pick up sleepers off the trains that want to get back to places like Woking £70 camberley £45,Surbiton £90 (all these are late night prices),and i see business men that fall asleep on a train on a regular bassis ,its got worse since they got rid of the old 'slam door' stock :hehe:.
The furthest ive been is Cardiff and Mansfield(not sleepers but one offs).
Whats the furthest you guys have caught a cab?
Have you fallen asleep on a train and ended up else where?

My ex was off on hols with a girly friend and got delayed. The delays continued throughout the day and into the night. Eventually they were karted off to a hotel for the night, hotel soon fills up so they are moved again to another hotel even further away.

Cue loads of wine, swiftly followed by major barney with fellow traveller, ex decided to get herself a cab...

£175!!! Stansted to Norwich

Im glad to say I managed to talk her out of it and she eventually had a nice holiday (albeit two days shorter).

When I was young and skint after a heavy night on the tiles, I ended up sleeping all the way to Tonbridge. Cab would have cost £60 to get to Orpington (would only have been £30 from London).

They close the station at night so wandered the streets for a few hours. Got the 5am train to Orpington got an hours kip the into work for a few hours then down the pub for lunch.

You can do these things when your young

From Beijing to the Simitai section of the Great Wall of China and back (160 mile round trip)

The driver just waited for us and bought us back, all I can remember is that it worked out very very cheap between the 4 of us.

That you may do, but I've done this countless times, and the ONE THING you are preying for...the most important thing in your life at that moment, is the fact that there's a cab there waiting....So many thanks!!!
