Nikon Coolwalker or similar

Looking for something like a Nikon Coolwalker, something to download from CF card and to veiw whilst out and about... Screen on the coolwalker seems too small, anyone any ideas or sugestions...
Coolwalker price seems high as well.

The Epson one (think it's P-2000) is meant to be very very good, decent battery life, good amount of staorage and excellent screen.

I use a 40GB Flashtrax which is getting on a bit now. Good amount of storage space but screen and bettery life could both be better.

I've been watching out for something similar.

Still agree that the Epson has some of the best reviews if viewing your hard work is a priority.

I've got an Epson P2000, and it's fantastic. Looked at the cool walker amongst others, and to me it seemed expensive for what it was, and the screen is small too. It really comes into it's own when you're a way for a while without a laptop, eg going to le mans in a caterham.

Better for a quick dump when you're out in the field.

Although with memory dropping in price, I find I do take it out of the house/car less often as I have more cards now.

But 1Gb = c £60, at that rate 80Gb would be c £4,800 !!

Yeah, I hear that, but for me, it goes like this...

Out for the day - take a pocket full of flash
Out for the weekend or somewhere viewing is required - take the epson
Out for a week plus - take the laptop
