We all do it, keep things that are of no use but smoeday may just come in handy. I can think of 3 things. A 3" long piece of door seal, a pack of baby wet wipes(no baby) and an empty Tic Tac packet. Why on earth do I have any of these taking up valuable space. Am I mad?

My Ex brother-in-law.............
Garage was converted into bedroom (before I moved in!). He did the same for me many years back, so fair's fair.

several tins of (dried up) white gloss paint - circa 1989 - I have moved house with them three times (at least) - I always buy a new tin of paint anyway - but I have three tins with about an inch of paint in them.

My wife will tell you the most useless thing is the 20 odd boxes of magazines, dating back to 1989.

Includes CCC, Autosport, Practical Classics, Motorsport, Professional Engineeing, Automotive Engineer and the like.

You never know when you might need to refer to one......

A spare pair of M&S pants.

Well, they are quite old and well washed so made a good polishing cloth. But since they've been in there several years they've become very dirty and crusty.

I'd really rather not touch them now...

Pins from them in car smellies. 2 knackered cylinder heads, rusted metal plates from a Vixen sun roof and more paint than the QE2 would need on a bad day. Oh and some of it is magnolia
Parents garage, winkle pickers:amongst several more offending items

I cleared my garage out a couple of months ago, amazing what you hoard, two sills (new) and a wiring loom from a Triumph Spitfire, a couple of broken hoovers, car stereos (several, circa 1980) two wheel from a Marina (don't ask) etc

The most useles thing at the moment is probably my bike, when it's sunny I got out in the TVR

My 20 month old son - we have just converted our garage to a playroom (which he loves), but lets be honest, he is pretty useless....

Got to love him though

Cheers,

Paul

A single alloy with a cracked rim;
A hairy mattress;
A carpet (on the concrete that I drive over everyday);
A single wheel trim, scratched.

A Bridgestone RE71 with too little tread to put on a car.
The starting handle from my father's Cambridge
(which was scrapped in about 1973).
A "Gator Grip" socket - never found a use for it.
