Have a look on Autotrader for a SUZUKI RGV250 or a KAWAZAKI KR1S both would make an excellent trackday tool...i use to own a Lucky Strike RGV250 and it was an awesome bike 130mph and got there pretty quick too!

Tim, you are a total dick. Riding on a track is no more dangerous than on the road. On a road yes there are other people around and you learn that they are all about to kill you. But if you think a track isn't dangerous then you need your head examining.

On tracks you are generally pushing your bike to the limit, going around corners designed to test cars, sometimes with gravel or bad road surfaces, and everyone around you is also going as fast as they can normally. Its all fine and well to say you wouldn't ride on a road, but if thats the case I advise you to never go on a track either.

Theres no need for language like that though? i would prefer to ride on a track than roads thats my opinion.. Obviously not yours. but i dont trust other road users has i go up and round these country roads with my dad and see the way some car users act towards bikers and i dont like it.. you obviously dont see that so thats your opionion..

I see that everysingle time I take my bike out, but I probably experience it worse than anyone else because I'm restricted to 30mph. Not only do I get the SMIDSY dickheads, but also because I can only go at 30mph people get pissed off so take more risky manouvers to get past me. And TBH, it scares the shit out of me sometimes. But I still ride because I love it and its the best feeling in the world (well, maybe except one ).

But to say that tracks aren't as dangerous as the road is very naive. I'm not trying to put you off biking, but if you are too scared to take a bike out on the road than you'll be crap on a track. Its just as scary, or even more so, when everyone is pushing themselves and their bikes to the limit. Tracks are a different evnironment, and you can argue that they are safer than the road becasue there aren't cars. On some track there are cars however, but even if its bikes only there are much more experienced riders there that will want to get past you as fast as possible using any way they can. So maybe being on the road is safer - you come off on the road, there are verges to catch you, and normally grass or hedges. On a track? A lot of tarmac, then gravel, then a tyre wall. Add to that a load of bikes having to swerve round you at 100mph. And if you believe your previous comment abut bikers, I advise you to never go near a bike, let alone ride one.

Feelin lucky, punk?

I respected you post untill i read the last immature comment. but i will ignore that to the fact that you say on a road there are verges to catch you.. There are also other cars/lampposts/concretewalls/wirehedges need i go on?

Also, You say u go out on your bike? where do you go down to the local maccyD's, i highly doubt you actually go out to proper country roads. if u do on a 50cc limited to 30mph thats just stupid anyway lol.
There are far less people killing themselfs on a track than the roads.

There are less people killing themselves on tracks because A VERY SMALL PERCENTAGE OF THE POPULATION GOES ON TRACKS! Do you really think many people take their cars to tracks???

I go loads of places on my bike. Yeh, it takes longer than in a car, but there are some great roads a short ride from me which are nice twisty roads. I can lose cars on them, because I can corner much faster than cars. And its not stupid, its bloody good fun. Ok, its 30mph yeh, so what? It still means I can go anywhere I want on my own. I can go down to the coast and I have on several occasions ended up chatting for ages to other bikers. Its like a club. I get nods from other bikers. I've never actually been to McDonalds on my bike, becasue that would just be stupid. If you want a bike then you have to change your attitude towards other bikers. And also accept that you are going to come off at some point and a) its going to hurt and b) its probably going to cost you a lot.

I can't believe that you come onto this biker forum, and first insult us by calling us organ doners, then ask about getting a bike but say you are scared of going on a road.

Its also going to cost you a lot to get a bike, prepare it for a track, get it there and back and for all the consumables you are going to use.

Oh, and don't take the piss out of me, I've obviously got a hell of a lot more balls than you, and it seems from your previous posts, a lot more common sense.

Yeh, its also not nice when they come off on a track at over 100mph - faster speeds on concrete, and often getting hit by other bikers = worse than a normal road accident

a 650 lol its my first bike and im 16.. i am not that mental! lol but thanks anyway..

I'd happily ride a 650 as my first bike In fact, I'd love to. The only reason I ride a 50 is because I have to by law. You are scared to ride any bike on a road. FFS, you are scared of riding a bike on a road? Could you happily filter through traffic by going down the wrong side of the road? What about driving a car? Or do you need daddy to hold your hand?

Common sense? *cough*Arm band*cough*, and calling bikers 'organ doners' on a bike forum.

I raced my Dad from my house to his, its normally a 15-20 minute ride. He was driving a Lexus IS200. The only deal was to stick to the speed limits. Because I could corner better, get out of junctions quickly, and filter through traffic, I won.

I completely disagree, it's entirely appropriate in the circumstances. You made no friends with your organ donor comment.
