er theres more. Just go for specialist brokers, don't waste time with the box shifting supermarket types. Another I'm trying to remember were at the Porsche Club festival and apparently offering good prices on 911s in general. Forgotten who, but someone might chime in.
p.s. thought you had a GT3 mk2 not an RS? Upgraded?

Yep - I've just traded up into a '04 RS, red script and wheels with 4000miles. The supplier is selling it with Dunlop SSRs which I don't know ANYTHING about...oh well....
Had to do it really as the Mk2 GT3 was easily the best car I've ever driven in my life (and my speed yellow one with black wheels was just stunning).. The thought of something improving on it (even marginally) was just too tempting so I bought an RS after the trackday season has ended and just before winter... can anyone say "DUMB B*STARD"?
Thing is I can't bloody pick it up until they tax the car, and they can't tax it until I provide an insurance certificate and I can't find anyone to insure the car... aaaaarrrghhhh!!!!!!!!

dare i ask if it covers that public toll road in the eiffel mountains ?

It's a fantastic policy, but doesn't include trackdays.
Also - Dunlop SSR's are fine, the dunloop road legal track tyre equivalent of Corsa's / Cups, not as much grip as the others, but seeingly better in the wet.

Its any trackday organised by a reputable company. They seem ok with easytrack which isn't the top end of the market, but are reasonably well run. I get 5 free trackdays with the policy then its about 72 quid a pop thereafter. Excess on track is 10% value of car (eek, but fairly standard). Policy cost me about a grand and thats with an awful postcode in london, aged 29.
If you don't get a policy with a built in facility for trackday cover, it costs a fortune to buy one off cover. >400 quid a pop for full value of car was one quote I had...

GT - Isn't the issue with dunlop SSRs that you can't get the front or rears in quite the right size? JZM told me that at the price it was a worthwhile sacrifice if you could get hold of them. They are a lot cheaper than the corsas though, so I can see why this dealer is trying to fit them instead!

thats great info thanks. excess is fine, its no more than my scum is worth and i happily track that uninsured. great px on insurance too. im same age/location and my s4 cost well over £1k but only worth 1/7th your rs, grrr.

It is good value, but I'm concerned what will happen if I go over the mileage as 5k is apparently the absolute limit on this type of 'classic' policy. My next best unlimited mileage quote was 2.8k and that was with no free trackdays, although cover for them dropped to 60 quid a pop.
It doesn't have Euro cover though - I'm not aware of any that do at the moment as they all seem to have got a bit shy of late.
