Anti Freeze

Anyone know how much antifreeze I should put in my 4.0 Chimaera.

Total coolant is 12 litres, so 25-30% of that.

..or 40% or 50% (especially if you live in Iceland)

Dunno about the brand. Where's all the anti freeze gone then? ...and if you're filling it from empty I assume you know the procedure?

2 Smokin Barrels, only had it one month, checked coolant level the other day and added c2 litres of water, owners manual incorrect, the Good Book ok though. No sign of any leaks or evidence of head gasket problems. Temperature reading ok, slightly low if anything. I put that down to the fact that the number plate has been fitted below the front grill. In traffic the temperature rises to just below 90 deg before fans cut in.

If you're adding two litres summats up mate.

I guess you'll check it regularly, and determine whether it was a "one off".

(don't want to make you paranoid, but if that much is leaking you'll be able to smell it, particularly when you pull up at junctions etc.)

Hi, by the way thems not Pandas, but they are cool.
Picking the Chimaera up from Thames Valley Racetech tomorrow, diff overhaul, new upper front wishbones and waxoil. I'll drain and add antifreeze this weekend and monitor levels closely.
I'm thinking of going to the Virginia Water meeting on Sunday, to give it a run, hopefully without a whining diff.
