Why is Gandalf on Coronation Street?

[peterpeter]

was I seeing things or was gandalf the wizard on a clip of corrie on the ITV crap tv awards?

[Pickled Piper]

Yep, he was in several episodes earlier this year.

Like many great actors /celebrities he didn't feel fulfilled without an appearance on Corrie.

Status Quo were in it a few weeks back.

Maybe he was looking for the Balrog for a return match.

The way they depicted the Balrog was awesome, very well done that bit.

They got him in to repel any terrible threat to Weatherfield from Mordor.
Such as the return of the Sharples.
