SW1 Converter for new motherboard
Discussion
Bought a new board over the weekend for my 4 y/o PC. About time I moved up to hyper threading CPUs and all that.
The swap has gone well, apart from one thing - how the power switch connects to the motherboard. On the case, there is an in line block that feeds the on/off switch, the LED in the on/off switch and also the HDD activity light. On the new board the connector is totally different.
Short of splitting the block, is there a converter I could get?
Cheers,
Greg

Not really, every motherboard seems to have a different pattern. Not something they standardised, considering all the other technical gubbins they managed
Best bit is just to get a pair of scissors. The switches are only simple push switches, and the leds are normally colour coded wires. Done this with many pcs without a hitch!
(black/white for ground, coloured for +ve voltage)
