I am looking for an X50 996TT in either slate grey or black (though will look at pretty much any colour except red or yellow) 03 onwards with less than 20k miles.
Have had a hunt around the OPC's & specialists in the Surrey area & nothing has turned up - was wondering if anyone had news on one for sale somewhere?

Would like to buy from a good specialist or an OPC (though the latter is going to try to stuff me on my part-ex)

Thanks

Rump.

Rump,

Just wanted to say "good luck", and be patient. I looked around for ages before finding my slate grey X50, but it was well worth the wait !!!!!

Thanks Robbom. I think from memory you bought yours from Cridfords? Glad you are happy with it.

I am in no hurry - I have an 02 TT in seal grey that I might just modify with a simple ECU upgrade to get around 480 or so bhp and my car has only done 24k miles, its just I fancy an X50 for the tuning potential & love slate grey as a colour.

Good luck too! I recently just traded my MK2 GT3 in for a 7000 mile black X50 at my local OPC...Have to say they gave me a great deal. Love the car so far!!

isnt a 996tt x50 just a tuned 996tt??

why not stick with what you have, change the turbos, chip and fish it and hey presto?

Rumple- AFN in Guildford have a few 996TT's in at the moment, saw them yesterday when I was in there. Nice-one in Seal Grey (Tip), one silver and another in Black which is a Turbo S.

I think they had cars coming in from all over the place at the weekend for some kind of event, so as a result more choice at the mo.

Adam - thanks but really want a different colour to seal as its what I have at the moment - though the advantage is that the wife would never know I changed it !!!
superlight - yep I have considered just tuning mine - its been faultless for 18 months so why tempt fate & change ?
nutcase - yes I was at Guildford OPC on Saturday & they had a few TT's in - no X50's though.
Did get a good look at an aerokit rear spoiler which looked pretty good, flipside is I don't think TT's look good with the painted front lip spoiler.

I know of a TTS which is on a 54 plate - taking a ripe old hammering (TTS is a depreciation disaster) and is going for 72k from 105k had about 14k miles on the clock (we all know how important it is to clarify mileage )

its black/black but does have aerokit - but that is a good price and you get X50 and ceramics

if I see any slate/black X50s around the £65-60k I will be sure NOT to tell you as that is what I am after
