I've got a Silver MX5 and a faded red hardtop. Not an ideal combination.

So I took the car around to the local bodyshop and he (verbally) quoted me.

£125 Labour + paint.
£55 for Black
£95 for Silver

Anybody know if thats a good/bad/average quote?

Cheers

seems a little on the steep side ..
will the hard top be of the car ??
very hard to say without seeing it but if its off the car and just faded, >>>

labour £75 >>assuming his rate of £25 per hour

materials>£82.82 is thatchams reccomended price for a medium sized panel,i would probably charge a touch less but 82 would be ok

Sounds about right for a proper job. Any cheaper and I'd be worried about the preparation and time taken to do the job.

Thanks guys. It sounds like the quote is in the right area and they are very convenient! I cant quite shout at them from my desk but you get the idea!
