Alarm gone all quiet on me?
Discussion
Just wondering if anyone has seen this before...
My alarm has had a few funny turns - usually just ignoring the keyfob for a bit and not letting me lock or unlock the car (depending on which would be most inconvenient at the time).
Just now it's gone all quiet; the car locks/unlocks, the indicators flash, the alarm LED flashes as usual - but no audio confirmation of the lock/unlock (which I did find pretty annoying anyway, to be honest).
Any ideas? I don't feel like pulling the alarm to pieces to check the sounder contacts, but I guess I really should set the alarm off to verify that it does actually still work. Is locking it then opening a clam the easiest way to get the alarm sounding?
Thanks,
Hugo

Whilst giving the car a wash for tomorrow, the alarm went off (proving that the sounder *did* work)... however, I couldn't turn it off. The fob locked/unlocked the doors but had no affect on the alarm noise, neither did the touch-tag.
Stopped by itself after a couple of embarassing minutes. I think I'm going to have to go in with a multimeter when I have a moment
