Nope, strut brace stops the chassis flexing (or reduce it at least) - this bracket stops the steering rack from flexing from the additional load/stress/weight of lowered suspension/bigger wheels/track work.
I think every 993 that doesn't have one of these should get one - it would certainly reduce the number of people who have to form out £500 on a recon'd steering rack.
