Sell the Volvo estate and get a Chim!

My main interests are cars and music. The trouble is drum kits and TVRs arent exactly compatable.
For the last 3 years of Chim ownership, every practice or gig meant stealing Mrs. Phlap's Golf for the night.
Last night due to a cockup in planning the Golf was 100 miles away :grumpy:.
I realised Id never actually tried to get a 6 piece kit in to the Chim, always assuming it would never go. The bass drum in it's case is 26 x 19 inches. Last night I thought sod it, lets have a go. It all went in. Bass drum just fitting on the passenger seat and the rest in the boot and behind the seats :clap:.
Much more rock and roll turning up at a gig in a Tiv :thumbup:.
Now if I got a Cerbie I could get a bigger drum kit....

Well done, keep taking it to the gigs now.
I had an MX-5, couldn't even get my trumpet & flugelhorn in the boot had to buy a gig bag and then it was tight. Now with the Chimaera I can get it all in the boot plus a biggish amplifier, music packs and stands etc.

That's superb!

My old man is always laughing at me when I try and get loads of stuff into the beast... but he always shuts up when I pull my full size suitcase out of the boot!

That said, the racing bike is always more of a challenge

All of my mates are shocked when they realise how much you can fit in the Chim! I can get two kite-boards, 4 kites (8.5 - 16 sq m), plus a 69" slalom ski and passenger and luggage for 2 days with the roof up! My mate struggles in his A3 -so he cheats an uses the back seats... My boot travels quicker that his though!
