Salisbury Differential

Is not the Salisbury dif what the Mk1 and Mk2 Escort rally boys use? Or is that the Atlas axle?
Maybe try a rally spares / prep company.
Who? Not sure.
Peter Llyod Rallying (sp?) might be worth trying, not sure if it is the sort of thing they deal with, but they might know someone who could answer your questions.

The Salisbury is indeed an LSD unit as fitted to many Escort Mk1's and 2's and the occasional Sunbeam too.
You can generally piuck one up second hand in the back of Motoring News though to get one to fit a TR may need a bit of messing about. A second hand one will almost certainly have worn clutches too and may need a rebuild - a specialist job.
Why not ask Quaiffe and see if they can supply a ready built ATB diff unit instead to fit into your current axle?

Esprit,
Try an old mate of mine - John Smith (Morgan Engineer) 01206 230 689 for many years he has been THE man for Morgan Axles and Gearboxes - and has rebuilt more than you could count. Salisbury axles have been fitted to Morgans for years and he knows all about them - size, width, ratios etc. etc.
Have Fun

I have a Sailsbury 4HA LSD axle that I want to get rid of! As far as I can remember, it is a 3.08 ratio.
I bought it about 10 years ago, it was fully rebuilt and had necer been fitted to a car since. Considering how long its been sitting in my garage it will surely need a rebuild. I think it came from a MK2 Jag.
