Just wanted to mention Lynbrook Insurance ( 08451304662)
They have just quoted me for this year £110 for my 350i. Admittedley I am a named driver on dads insurance, although i paid me self and we have 3 other classics on the same policy. However, I am 23 with points and one v small prang. i think that is very reasonable and the only company I know of that will insure an under 25.

PS points for speeding on a motorway during road works at 4 in the morning 62 in a 50, personally i reckon that was out of order as the limit was there to protect the workers and we all know they don't work at that time.

Prang was really annoying and very girlie. touched a brand new mini in a car park. Mondeo was unscathed but mini needed 800 quids worth of work. bugger

Hey, it's ok, I'm sure we've all had the odd point or two.

I got 3 for going through a red light on the North Circular in London, when I was 18.

The best bit was when the cop read out his notes in court.....quote: when I pointed out to Mr.White that he had driven through a red traffic light, he replied: " what traffic light ?"

Hope we are not being ageist??? No although I did offer him a drive in it, at 84 he was not sure his reactions would be up to it.

Are you a member of the TVRCC?
If you are then you should speak to A Mannings, the official TVRCC insurers and see if they can help you. Don't forget, sometimes in not just about the price, but the quality of cover and service when something does actually go wrong

Which is a very good point! The services they offer are very good on paper but you never know until you need to use them.... Hopefully I won't!

Sounds very reasonable, as long as there's not a huge excess etc., and providing Dad is the main user

Good point. Actually, i insured the car on the business insurance. I did state that it was mine. How does that work. Normally, you have to be the owner to be the main driver. However daddyoh and I are "business partners" so does that mean the business insurance is more flexible? Guess I should call them up and double check. Thanks for bringing it up.

Business insurance (fleet) is indeed usually more flexible.

One golden rule in life though is don't take chances with your insurance!

Good luck.

Hello Combine

2) No! (not enough parking space)
3) Reckon so!

In the summer I get to quite a few meets.

Seems like some folks are going there on 13 Nov according to Mid. forum ? Or have I got the month wrong ? Mansfield is quite a way from Preston though , I'm near Harbro'. Mark has a wedge stuck in a garage by the sound of it , so I must make the effort to get there !
