My mirrors are becoming loose, can someone give advice?

Mines have been repaired many times and come loose again and again. A few people have had them properly repaired and apparently the factory has a method for doing so.

That's the 'solution' Lee gave to me when I mentioned it on car number 26.
From my investigations of taking it apart, if you were also to pack some HD foam into the 'twiddly' bit where it's attached to the cables where they pass through the door frame it would also provide some resistance - I believe this is what Rover 25/45 et. all have in them to stiffen things up.
I just never got around to getting the foam cut to shape...

I guess though when you've asked your dealer to fix them numerous times they should at least have asked the factory for help.
