Headlights

Does anyone know if the perspex headlight covers on the last version of the Chim are a straight(ie easy) fit to the earlier cars.
Just thinking about this, and if it saves the price of Tuscan type coversion I can use the dosh for other upgrades/improvements.....

Ok folks, answered my own question by doing a search - seems theres no simple answer to it, eh!!

But why has no-one produced a bolt/stick on after-market option - doesnt look that difficult (possibly wrong there) and seems to be a fair bit of interest....

It's not that simple as the top of the headlight surround needs trimming,and you need to make sure the sides are sealed properly,as theres no recess,however i've made moulds ready for some,and even if I run off a few of them it's not a simple diy job so I don't see a big market out there.

I would like to have sone this mod, but was also advised it was not a simple task (Can't say I was surprised).
I am going to fit the HID lights instead, and then protect them with the carbodome covers; as I am not keen on the Tuscan or Speed 12 conversions!

High Intensity Discharge Lights (like Xenon units basically), better quality illumination than the std lights. They are advertised in a few places but are on the Tower View website! www.t-v-r-services.co.uk

They are headlight protectors that cover the lenses! They are avilable on the TVRCC website shop!
