When I turn the ignition on instead of hearing the lovely sound of the fuel pump priming I hear the noise of a relay under the upper part of the dash (passenger side) clicking like mad. Spoke to Christopher Neils and they advised me to chabge two bosch relays located just above the battery - done that still no change!!

Failing a solution does anyone know of any independants local to bury that could offer assistance as I'm not the worlds best mechanic!!!!

Might be worth just checking that the wires to the fuel pump are secure. The fuel pump on my car is (from memory)under the n/s rear quarter, behind the rear wheel. You should be able to see it with a torch, whilst laying on the floor.

Recently had a similar problem. I had quite a bit of water in the pssenger footwell and the fuel pump relay ended up full of silt, made a thump rather than a click when operated!

After replacing the relay the chim still would'nt start. A small amount of water had gotten into one of the fuse holders in the foot well and was causing the fuse to arc out. It sounded like it wass squeaking. Dried it out and hey presto.

Might be worth checking.

If you get clicking noises like you describe it sometimes indicates a flat battery.
Of course, if the engine turns over then it isn't the battery at all.
