Fastest road test of all!
Discussion
Just thought I'd let you all know that I road tested a Tom Walkinshaw modified Jaguar XJ220s this afternoon.
Now I drive Lamborghini cars for a living, and have tasted Enzos, Carrera GT's and such like, but nothing prepared me for how fast or hard charging this Jaguar would be.
It was hilariously fast, taking your breath away in ANY gear, and in the wet it was just good fun. We didn't mis-behave too much, but in any of the first 3 gears, it made any of the current supercars feel lethagic, as long as the turbos were already lit.
Just came back crying with laughter at the whole roller-coaster feeling of just hanging on to the beast rather than making progress swiftly.
Interestingly enough, I have a Mclaren F1 coming in 3 weeks time, and I'll have to prepare that for sale, so I'll look forward to giving that the beans and comparing it.
Regards to you all,
Alan.

alan i thought i had been pretty quick until something similar happened to me this summer, a good friend took me for a spin in a cobra replica, with a difference it had a twin turbo 7 ltr chevy v8 engine, profesionaly built but not yet set up. it was making over 700bhp dyno proven in current (unsorted) state. lets just say i wouldn't bother chasing it in a diablo. totally shocking. were going to run it against the hayabusa, i bet the bike can't beat it until well into 3 figures.

'cos Cobras just aren't lairy enough in the first place, are they?!?!
Totally unnecessary, probably dangerous and bordering on lunacy......what a brilliant idea!! Keep us all posted on how it goes!
Have a look at this then for a fast car

the engine is capable of making 1000bhp. he told me it was run on the dyno between 7 and 800bhp but was skidding around a bit!! (light car/massive power) all a bit bonkers really but it's a fine job, ap racing brakes etc etc. he's stored it away for winter but should be fully ready next spring. i will update in 06.
