The last 'wedge' is currently owned by Ian Smith & Dawn Bestall : it's on a 'K' plate .. don't think they visit PH too often but they are TVR CC members so might visit that site.

There is a K reg 4??SE on the wedge fest DVD (and not the lovely dark metallic red 430 we followed on the convoy run-out) - Another excuse to watch it!!

The last wedge wheeled out of TVR was a 430SE model on a 92 J plate.
The last 3 wedges had the Griff 4.3 engine fitted.
Bob Meier owns the last one made. It's got nice factory options like heated seats and central locking.

Bob will probably tell you a bit more about the car if he sees this post.

Good photo on his profile (RMEIER)

There is a 430SE currently for sale on PH classifieds - the one that was displayed at the 1991 Motor show.
Cheers

I know the Rev will contradict me but I have a letter from TVR confirming my 430 was the last one made. Perhaps the K plater was registered after mine??? Who knows. Mine is a J plate registered March 1992, and is perfectly described by The Colonel above this.
Regards Bob

I have a K plate 350SE, registered 21/12/92, No.23. Obviously made before that date and sat around for a while. Unless somebody knows different

Bob et all,

If my memory serves me correctly - the factory but many cars 'just' before the Catalyst reg came into being .. around 93..

So - what that means is anyones guess..

imagine owning a wedge fitted with a cat, having to put it on for the MOT and whipping it off after!

In the UK, catalytic converters became mandatory fitment on any car manufactured after 1st January 1993 (5 months into K reg). However they were fitted as standard by the majority of car manufacturers from 1st August 1992. Thats why MOT testers go by the 01/08/92 date.
