Is this standard

I know i'm meant to be cerby shopping but this has caught my eye. Is that the standard front end for a 2001 450 chim?(nice interior colour combo as well).

Looks standard to me. Only thing I can see is that the badges have been upgraded. Well priced and you should get a warranty with it.

So the griff style covered headlights are standard on a 2001 chim, I never knew that, although I've probably never seen one that new.Cheers Bob

Yep, that and a few other minor changes like 16" wheels all round. I think there were other changes but I can't recall them. Peter Reid (NYPHer) has one.

I've got one too. See profile. I think it looks great. A nice subtle modification on the late chimaera's.

I've E-mailed the dealer, my first choice would be a cerby and j.agger has a griff and a cerby I like, he said he'd get back to me yesterday.I'm in no rush though as I wasn't going to sell mine until the new year,until this came up www.pistonheads.com/sales/52230.htm

Yep thats std, Ive got a 2001 spec have a nose at my profile.

THe 2001 have upgraded seats with lumbar support, 16"" all round, updated lights, updated suspension (not 100% sure about this but a few reviews said they have) and more chrome indicators etc.

Noo, Get the Chim. You know it makes sense. That ones a beaut, cerb seats as well.
Look at the advantages;
You can take the roof off.
Means you can really hear that V8.
Annual running costs are about half that of the cerb.
Chims snap knicker elastic at 50 paces.

Concealed boot hinges were a '99 mod, 2 years earlier.

Thanks for that mate, I saw it was 2000 dearer in thier ad I think it must be reduced otherwise it wouldn't be advertised as unbeatable value.He's just got back to me with a trade in price I'll ring next week.

I live 5 minutes walk from this dealer, the Chimaera has been there some months,originally priced £20995,he doesn't seem to sell any old dross,normally BMW,Mercedes,4wds,etc.
Interested to read that '01 models had suspension update;anyone be more specific?

Hi I know London fairly well, is it the guy that knocks out secondhand ferarri's posches and bmw m3's in ilford high road chadwell heath, If so I know where it is..

I seem to recall that one advertised when I was looking, so its been there a while.
The boot on mine does go pretty much verticle, don't know how that compares to earlier ones.

Yep that's the '99 mod, very handy when fueling up

Hi Raf, no this place is in Romford, near town centre,had a look when walking past last summer,car looked 'clean', as the trade say,gold badges(well you expect a bit of bling in Essex..)Unless your an expert,for Gods sake get it checked out first..good luck!

Feck me - that Chim's gorgeous!

At that price plus push them for a 1 year warranty you can afford to pay a few hundred for a full expert inspection.

I've just sold my Chim for a Tamora but if I had the money I'd buy that one in a flash.
