TS/RDP Timeout help pleeeeease......
Discussion
Situation :
Currently TS'd into a 2000 server and then using RDP to connect to a 2003 server.
Running a process that is taking a silly amount of time and would like to go home and leave it going.....
However, the sessions keep timing out on me so I have to stay to keep them active.
Checked Remote Access but both servers say it is not configured ?!?!
Tired, hungry, wanna go home :(
Thanks in advance.

Haven't used TS but I use various combinations of RDP, VNC, Citrix. When I disconnect the RDP or VNC sessions, I remain logged on at the target. Both servers can be configured to lock the screen (so I have to enter the password when I reconnect) but can also be configured not to (so the screen comes straight back when I reconnect).
If your 'last hop' is via RDP I would have thought you would get the same behaviour?

Hope I'm not missing soemthing here but I think you just need to set the session timeout options on the 2k and the 2k3 box - you can make it so that if you disconnect it keeps the session open for a reasonable length of time, 24 hours or sommat. In 2K it's in Admin tools/TS config/connection properties/sessions.
