Missed this at the cinema but watched it on dvd a couple of days ago.
The end was a bit cheesy, but overall I thought it was a really atmospheric and tense movie...very Micheal Mann.
Both Jamie Foxx and Tom Cruise were excellent..
What's the general consensus ???
Also watched Final Fantasy again on DVD...
A bit corny here and there but I thought it was a really underrated movie. (reviews were appalling)
For a total cgi-cartoon movie some of the realism is still breathtaking 2 years on.

Fool, I bloody told you that Collateral was good.....
This is one of the most stylish movies I've seen for a while. It sort of reminded me, in some of its cinematography of the opening sequences in grand thft auto!
Cruise was fantastic, and faxx was equally so. Great movie. Another great cruise nmovie, even though I can't stand the chap.

It was ok until about half way through then just got farrrr too unbeleiveable.
the ending? jesus what are the odds on 1 cabbie in LA picking up a woman and then picking up the hitman hired to kill her. OMG,unless I missed something
up until the end the expert gunfighter was kicking ass and then get shot by someone un-used to handling wepons and no tactical training errr not likly, he would have probably shot himself in the foot.
its also remonds me very much of an episode of Miami Vice
the one where the hit man is hired to kill sony and other people on a list.

Lets try not to forget how he'd been shot in the head, fallen over a chair, ran a fair bit, been in a car crash.....

Yes, photography was excellent, Andy, one of the main reasons I enjoyed it so much, that and recognising streets I drive along.
the camera workreminded me alot of Heat, more so than any other Mann film done after Heat,Colateral was good, it was nice to see Tom Cruise play someone other than the cheesy nice guy of late.
