Where should the elephant's ears be?

I will begin this thread by inviting 2 Smokin Barrels to post his customary comedy reply, to get it out of the way!!
Seriously, after all the torrential rain, I have had some leaks - drivers footwell, and behind the driver's seat. I have resealed the brake resevoir, and the footwell issue seems to be solved. But the other problem has not. Searching the forum I have found all kinds of reference to Elephant ears, and my car does not seem to have them fitted. After further searching I found FFG's templates. Trouble is, I cannot work out where they should go. Anyone got any pics, so I can fit them? Thanks in advance.

Here's the thread containing the pics of the Elephant Ears. I will be out making some first thing in the morning. Whether or not your Chim leaks or not, these look like a sensible idea

What about the elephant's foreskin? Can use it to store the targa top in
The glue I used was evostick or bostick (the contact stuff - ie glue on both bits , leave to dry for 5 or 10 mins and push together).
Clean the under the hood section with thinners to remove previous glue.
I use an old bicycle inner tube and cut to size - does the job.
Don't get glue on the velcro, you don't need to. Just stick to the rubber to the fibreglass hood section as it will move back when you drop the hood, ie if you stick it to the velcro you won't be able to drop the hood (easily - or without ripping the rubber undoing your good work).
Ensure the flappy bit sits over the door and no more leaks behind the seat and wet seat belts.

Right, been there and done that a few times now. Thanks to Big Al's kindness in supplying a set of lugs pre-cut a couple of years ago, I have a pattern. problem was the material... inner tube butyl or similar seems to perish very quickly and I got fed up re-doing them when they started to crumble.
Cue, bright idea
Shoe stick-on soles, as sold by Woolies etc...come complete with glue that works a treat (and is useful for leather trim resticking etc). The ones I bought had some fine 'tread' lines running across the soles but a bit of careful marking and cutting got them running diagonally down and to the rear of the ears when on the car, hopefully helping water to run in the corect direction. On all summer and no perishing yet
