Ceramic coating of exhaust manifolds ?

Where did you get it done ? Did you notice a reduction in radiated heat ?

I bought new manifolds fom Tim at ACT,he did it for me,i went for the 3 stage coating(best one).Reduced the temp,never had a problem with it overheating even in standing traffic,even with my wild spec engine,(ticks over at 1200 rpm.)
Edited to add i think he sent it to Chemcoat,or something similar

Sounds like it would help reduce the under bonnet temps on the Griff which would be good.

How tough are they Andy, will they cope with the odd spanner dropped on them?

The chrome type finish is not that strong Pete, it may take a knock from a spanner but a socket wrench or something a little weightier will chip it. You just have to be a bit careful around them. they also provide a touch up kit with them.

I went for them coated in the satin high heat resistance coating inside and out (pre cats removed) followed by ceramachrome on the outside.

Like Andy, I haven't yet tried them yet but agreed they do look great

I like ceramic coated manifolds, because I don't burn the back of my wrists when twiddling the dizzy securing bolt!
