There was a 360 spider tooling round bristol a while back which some wag had stuck plates on that said "gaylord" or something similar. The owner had no idea, and continued his "pimping" unabashed.

Don't know why but I assumed that it would have been a joker that stuck the Noble bit on - hence my little anecdote.

The guy has both. I've driven a 911 Turbo, and while it's a great car it is slower than a Noble up to about 120 (ie. in the real world)
