does anyone have any ideas how to get a better bass sound out of my radio i have the sony cdx-ca680x and i could do with some instructions if any one knows where i can get them.also i dont have the security code either. pleeezzzzz

These sound much better than the stock speakers and are cheap enough. 10 minutes to fit.

Get some Alpine SPS-170A

They transform the sound, and IMHO are the best things for the money.

What about the grill - does one come with the spkrs or do you use the existing one?

You don't need a "grill". The 'spokes' work fine to keep legs/feet etc. out of it, and the cone is made of Nomex and so doesn't need a "grill" in the traditional sense.

I'm surprised that this open design won't lead to cone damage but will take your word for it and may upgade mine at some point (and keep the old one's just in case)! Tnx.

I lost my code recently. I think most local car radio places can do a couple of things. Sony give them a list of the codes for each model. If that fails, a swift bypass with a soldering iron can usually be done - It's irreversible tho

I've had them for years without any problems. Exactly how often do you stick a screwdriver into your current speakers...

Your dealer should be able to give it to you, but are you sure it isn't tucked into one of the little pockets in the owners manual folder?

never had any problems with the design. The spokes prevent this anyway.

JL do a range of stunning ca-axials, provided you want to spend the money (about £200) and an Alpine 1600 diddy little powered sub just behind the seat (about £150) and vertually no extra weight.

If you want it to sound even better buy an Alpine head unit with Time-Alignment to compensate for the iffy accoustics of the Noble.
