Hi Guys, Just introducing myself. I've been looking at the forum for a while, but have just decided to become a member, so I can ask questions.

My current car is a Clio 172 Cup. Great car, but I want MORE. I have definitely decided on a Cerbera 4.5. I should be able to afford it some time next year. Budget is £20K. I intend to use it every day (8K miles pa) for work and play. Is this a wise proposition? Will service an Austec. I already have a list of upgrades: Nitrons, Sports exhaust, Sports cats.

What should I be looking out for?

I looked at a few different models, colours etc but when I saw the one we bought I new it was the one we wanted. To be honest it was love at first sight as it just stood out from the rest. Taking the rose tinted glasses off, the car was checked over the following week and a refurbished steering rack was required. We now have a Cerbera 4.5 RR which my wife drives whenever she can. Whatever you choose it’s your choice but 4.5 RR is a good start.

Maybe a thread of “Why did you choose your TVR” would give you food for thought.

Thanks for the feedback. I tend to buy cars the same way. There are some good cars around at the moment, but I am always uncertain about the colour. There seem very few black, yellow or red cars around under 30K miles.

I will certainly start that thread though.
