Winter maintenance

Just after a quick bit of advice. My S2 Elise is just coming up for 3K miles since its last (And first in my ownership) service in April. In all my previous cars i've changed the oil between 3K and 5K miles. Do you think its worth doing on the elise. The 3K miles have all been on the road. Just don't wanna fork out £40 for oil and filter if it isn't really necessary.

Well the intervals are 9k miles and I always change mine halfway at about 4.5k.

You've not done many miles in 6 months so maybe it's best you change it anyway?
