I was reading this article last night, is it me or is the car in the picture for the 993 Turbo S actually a 964 turbo S?

You wouldn't have thought it was that difficult to get the correct pictures would you.

Various inaccuracies in article - which was an interesting idea though.
Two biggest: the 993 Turbo S picture is actually a 964 Turbo S 3.6, and in the copy, the 964 Turbo was not the first twin turbo 911, it was the last of the single turbo models, the first twin turbo being the 993.

Some of the market pricing is badly researched
Prices on 924,944,959, Flatnose,964 3.3,964 Turbo S, 993 Turbo S, All 996 T prices are ok' ish
These are rubbish
930 £18 -30k more like start at £10k*
930 3.3 £20-30k start from £12k*
964 3.6 £25k to £30k make that £30-£40k*
968 Turbo S £20 -£30 last one I saw was £70k
993 Turbo £30-£40k more like £40-£60k*
993 GT2 £50-£70k try £100k plus

Obviously knock £5 to £10k of for LHD

Crap mag, run by beardies - they should stick to what they know best - like 924s.

Are you sure that's the turbo 3.6 S?

Looks like the 'standard' 3.3 S giving 381bhp.

Agreed on the market prices, I dont see many 993 GT2's for 50-70k. One other thing I noticed was that they listed the 993 TTS 0-60 time as 3.9 secs, faster than 996 TTS, can anybody confirm whether this is correct?

May 1995 Autocar tested the 993tt at 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds

But then they side-stepped the clutch at 5k rpm and hit 60mph in 2nd gear...

Porsche quote 4.2 to 62 for the 408bhp car, the same as the 420bhp 996TT.

I remember reading a 0-100-0 Autcoar test where the 996TTS recorded 3.9.

I guess it depnds how run in it is, weather and how much mechanical sympathy you have - pretty immaterial differences though
