A mate of mine's struggling to place his policy. He's been offered renewal at £1200.00 or so, I advised him to try NU Direct who insure our Porsche Boxster but it seems they don't insure Group 20 cars, which I find strange as I thought the performance car market was their target market.

Anyway, does anybody have any suggestions?

Cheers
Steve

For me £1200 would've been a competitive quote for fully comp!

I'm reatively young and have a group 20 car. I use Tesco, by far the best quote for me. 0845 300 4400
Sadly I know their number off by heart!

I'm currently with Admiral, who were about the same price as Tesco. Tesco required a Tracker to be fitted on my older M3, I assume the same would be true on an E46.

Unless you are convinced of the benefits of a Tracker, even a slightly pricier insurance quote will easily offset the cost of fitting one and the annual sub.

Liverpool Victoria or Asds,

Neither want a tracker, at least on an E36 M3

However, yes, Tesco did want a tracker, but the car came with one fitted.

I have my CSL insured with NU Direct, cheaper than Tesco by about a third!

Hmmmm....Mate of mine says no can do with NU Direct. Maybe they've changed their stance since you took your policy out.

Yours is a CSL as well!

Anyone can insure any car, just depends how much you are willing to pay.
