It plopped through the letterbox on Saturday but I haven't had a chance to read much of it yet.

The Sagaris goes head-to-head with the new Marcos GT2 (which from certain angles looks quite similar to the TVR). The only bit I really noticed was the bit at the end proclaiming the Sagaris to just nick it, 4.5 stars to 4.

Obviously worth a look to anyone with even a passing interest in the Sagaris :)

The 'Americanised' version of EVO doesn't have any mention of this

Marcos is faster than the Sagaris, and seemingly quicker in corners, but doesn't feel as coherent to drive, nor as well "hooked-up" to the road. It's also very small and claustrophobic in the cabin. That's my executive summary of the article.

Plus PHer Maggit is in there testing, with his Griff as comparison.!

Go and buy it!
Your car looked great. I'm sure if you ask them nicely you'll get some cutting room floor shots.

Thanks old boy, I wasnt going to mention it was mine! Did I let it slip to you, or did you recognise the car?
We get the full spread of shots, I just have to wait for them. I havent been to the shops yet to see what pics they used!
Fortunately Sarah and I stayed well away from the camera to make sure neither of us were in em!

A good cpl of days out anyway, basically 2 days of car and engineering talk, esp with the Marcos lad. Muchos thanks to the Evo lads, we enjoyed ourselves and sorry for scaring the cr@p out of blasting past you back on the M20!

Nubbin, the Marcos is faster in a straight line. More oomph, same weight-ish, load more low down torque for initial push. Following Jethro playing in the TS0, I had to quickly work out when he was going to plant it and get in a lower gear, above 4k rpm to nail my throttle to stay with him.

The 2 cars are very different though. One is an out and out GT, the other is a erious sports car that can also do the GT thing.

Surely it's not faster in the corners, is it? My one drive of a Sagaris told me it was lightning quick in the twisties. Or are we talking sweeping bends?

DJC....you old dark horse....

Well I think the car looks terrific mate.

I always though the Marcos looked good, but I have to say...IMO of course, that put side by side with the Sagaris there is no competition....

On page 144 is the pic with them facing front.
Marcos in front of the Sagaris......Marcos looks bulbous in comparison, Sagaris looks REALLY mean behind it...

On page 145 The shot of them both from behind, the Marcos looks really high off the ground and narrow....whereas the Sagaris looks like it's been poured on to the road surface and sits squat to the road.

Your car looks great.....congratulations....

Not so much dark horse, just as Ive said before Sarah and myself are really the publicity types.

Probably the only shy Sagaris owner around!

Why is this considered a bad thing?
Personally I think if they can get it to go round corners faster than a Sagaris (which is a fantastic handling car) and be higher & thinner, then that's surely a good thing, as it means you can nail it down thinner bumpier roads.

I've had my Chimaera stiffened & raised a couple of cm purely for that reason

My comments were purely on how the cars look side by side.

If I'm spending £50,000 + for a car then it has to be a good all round package.

Performance, styling, comfort and space factor.

The Marcos had to be considered, as did the Noble...

The Sagaris was the best all round package in our opinion.

I havn't seen mine for weeks....
Dealer says at least another week.

The Ford Ka just doesn't do it for me, even if it is that fastest Ka on the road .....
