Alloy dial bezels - for a pre cat....

Anyone know if I can get some alloy bezels for the pre cat griff (stuart warner). Do you RT Racing ones fit does nayone know ?

I think Simpo is right... speedy cables used to do the whole set for around £100...

You can strip the paint off the original bezels and polish so they come up looking quite good. Did it on an early Chim a couple of years ago. Does anyone know if the S dials are the same as the early Griff ones?

I have taken apart the dials on my '94 Grif, which had black rims and black dial faces. The smaller dials were a lot easier to remove the paint on, the Speedo and the RPM dials were a real pain in the backside. I used fine grade wet and dry paper and a lot of patience, the effect is a satin one and has not corroded/oxidised at all after 2-3 months.

They look much better (IMHO) and should look even better when I have them slotted into my new CF dash.

The only problem I have is the speedo dial face is slightly distorted - I think it must have got very hot in the sun at some stage.

yeah I've done the same Jeboa, my dash looks much better with this done and stainless dash rather than black dials in wood.

The speedos are all like that, it's an anti glare thing, looks crap though I agree.

Mine were already done, but I experimented with a spare dial and wire wool then v.fine wet and dry and got the same effect. Here's my dash.



Oh, if anybody wants to swap those vents for their original ones, drop me an email. I don't think they work with my polished dials.

Aren't they the LEVENS ? Don't the aluminium surrounds just pull off to reveal the original vent ? May be I'm wrong.

They seem to be glued on TeGriffic. Didnt want to prise them off too hard in case they break something and then I have to try and find new vents. Figured the best idea was just to swap with someone else who was looking to upgrade their vents.
