1. For £10 you can buy 48 pints of beer.
2. Petrol is untaxed and works out at 30p a litre.

So if you drive a thirsty car and like beer it might be just the place.

Anyone think of any other reasons?

A single Chinese man owns a Chinese restaurant, and one day a beautiful Chinese woman walks in. He immediately walks over and asks her out on a date. She agrees. They go out for a while, and soon, the man proposes to her. She says "Yes, but before we do, there's something you must know. I have never had the sex, but I've read about it." He says that it's not a problem, and they are married.

On their honeymoon, the man tells his wife that since she's a virgin, she can choose what they do first. She says "Oh, most honorable husband. I am honored to be your wife, even though I have never had the sex, but I've read about it. So, I have chosen to have the 69.

The husband looks confused, and after thinking about it, he says "You want.. the beef and broccoli?"

Anyway the reason for the post was I just went to a lunchtime presentation by two guys over from China extolling the virtues of China...incl the price of beer and petrol......well researched I'd say.

Highlights of the presentation..... the slide on "What People Eat in China" and a whole room of people thinking.....not dogs, not dogs, don't let it be a picture of a dog.

Then a slide showing the Chinese manned space rocket taking off....at which point China man No 2 interjects "Don worry, don worry, it not missile we peaceful, it for men in space"

They we're nice blokes actually.

When they get in the taxi at the airport they always say 'Harrow taxi driver'

I'd be off if I had an offer, there are some excellent opportunities there. The south is beautiful and warm, the food can be challanging though, don't think it's anything like your average take away.

I'm seriously thinking about going over there for a few years. There's going to be several decades worth of work just sorting out the mess when they begin to address the problem of bad loans, lax credit controls etc in the banking sector.

Wise man he say " Risk management consultant go to China, make plenty money, drink cheap beer, have pretty young Chinese girlfriend"

......only thing is convicing Mrs Timmy, esp about the last bit.

Your not talking about Hong Kong then (Petrol near UK prices, beer at about £3-£4/pint)

Chinese drivers are crazy btw, i wouldn't dream of taking an expensive car on their roads.

Very true, loads of cold meats and strange dishes in traditional chinese. I even went to a restaurant in Shanghai where absolutely everything on the menu was Mushroom based. Nice snacks though, Wantons are delicious (dough balls stuffed with meat and veg) and the spicey meat on the stick you get from street vendors is suprisingly tasty (never was sure WHAT meat it was though)
