Cringe!!

Been thinking of changing my Chimaera for a Tuscan. Went to have a look at one last weekend out of interest advertised at a car dealer (not a TVR dealer I must add, or anyone that knew anything about TVRs as it turned out!!).
Usual Arfer Dailey salesman, "loverly car mate, been driving it around myself".
Once he got the flat battery charged a bit ("been driving it this week mate"....yeah right!), he revved the nuts out of it whilst cold. :yikes:
All I could do is stand and cringe followed by a hasty retreat!!

Definitely re-iterated the 'be careful what you buy' rule. Still not totally convinced to give up the V8 burble either :)

Yep blue is good, although slightly behind silver
Sunday sounds like a good plan, away for the rest of this week so be good to get out on sunday for a blast. Just have to check plans as its sisters birthday but will make a call this evening.

Couldn't believe you spotted me. I am usually the first one to moan about people leaving their lids on when the sun is shining
However......in my defence.....I was running late and the sun wasn't out

When I considered moving from Chimaeras to Tuscans, I too had a look at Tuscan at a non TVR "specialist" car dealer.
Lovely looking car and the spec/price I wanted. UNTIL....................
Found out it was ex "football trade" and the dealer also ripped the ar@# off it when stone cold.
Walked away and went back to my TVR main dealer (Dream Machines) where I paid a fair bit more money for virtually the same car but with an excellent history and sales guys that knew the cars properly.
Result - 9 months and 3000 miles later and other than servicing, no dramas or bills.

They do look good with the black Le Mans stripes. I saw a titanium Cerb with the stripes still on at HHC just after LM this year and thought it looked great. Unfortunately it had come back on a low loader.
