hi all :wavey:

anyone know how to turn off the feature of the radio that causes it to beep loudly then turn itself off if i dare to take longer than 1 millisecond to change the CD? i wont say its totally annoying but i did find myself telling the stereo to 'get fucked' last night: probably not a good sign.

and, please before anyone tells me i should be listening to the engine note and not the stereo, you're right, but on 8 hour journeys i need my fix of Billy Ray Cyrus's Greatest Hits (its one song and 90 minutes of silence).

thanks in advance good people,
N.

I assume you know the effects of a varying length of poke on the eject button?

...dang....nothing in the flaming manual apart from:

"Note: For safety reasons, it is not permitted to leave the portable panel open when driving"

WTF??

No options in the "User" menus either...has user memory, LED setting, GAL and telephone mute settings, but no "remove beep" setting.

Go on then Agent, we give up....what's the long-poke method? (asked the actress to the bishop, Ho Ho Ho)

i love the idea that its unsafe to drive with the panel down, but if the stereo turns itself off its totally safe. genius, that.

the long poke thing being this:

Short poke ejects the CD, long poke just lets the front down and doesn't eject.

Having actaully read the thread properly, this is nothing to do with the problem you're having.

So you can take the front off when you park without it chucking a CD at you.
