What is that bleep

Hi can anyone help me i have a 99 chim and every now and then i get a bleep sound coming from behind the radio which i have changed. Sometimes its only once or twice and once it was several times the car is fine and all the needles are pointing in the right direction and its not cold.[could it be a radar detector there is nothing visable on the dash.???]

I used to have a head unit which would record the Traffic Alerts. It used to beep once when a new one arrived...

I used to get it from my pioneer radio, not sure what it was but I don't get it from my new Kenwood so it was the radio and not the car.

My Pie-on-ear radio bleeps when it's set to TA but I'm not on a radio station that does TA. Took me a while to find that out.

I used to have a pioneer but i took it out and put in a sony mp3 player

I had a Blaupunkt unit in one of my TVRs which beeped randomly - found out it was when the radio reception was poor (very often in a TVR!!)so disabled the beep function via the instructions...
