You must be joking, have you not seen the trials for roundabouts in the US. One of the first had over 450 major crashes in the first year, and many local residents are lobbying for a ban and removal of the ones currently in place. Most of us over here seem to have got the hang of them, so what does this say about the average intelligence of our 'friends' over the water?

Nah, I'm not joking. Like anything else, we will have to learn. We have roundabouts in the "old town" residential area of my city. Granted these are 15-25 mph streets, but the locals are used to them. They are used more for speed control as they have stop signs before them. I will agree on the average intelligence comment. They will give anybody a drivers license here; even if you cannot read or speak english. Great! No need to figure out signs... Please import TVRs...

oh, and of course you have to be super capable to get a driving licence in the UK... I understand that the goverment is set to do a deal with Kellogs to give them away on cereal boxes....
