Favourite track to drive

OK, not just your favourite, but where you'd really like to drive if you haven't already. Can't see why I can't try an organise something at the poll winner(s) !

I'm Brands & Donnington

....although for sheer fear factor, the hill routes at Millbrook are quite a giggle !
and I'd REALLY like to do Spa.....and the Ring

I hear Donnington is good. I did like brands but was in someone elses single seater at the time so I would like anywhere.

I would like to do the Millenium Stadium in Mildenhall where I watched the world banger racing finals on Saturday night! Nutters!!

I too would be up for a weekend away to spa or the ring, but, I must say the thought of going to the ring again, and driving, sends a shiver down my spine!! Wish I had not wacthed those crash videos last week now!

I have always wanted to do Silverstone, and am doing it tomorrow so will report back.

Greg, well I didn't think your thread title referred to suggestions for an alternative track to drive for the next Noble day, did I?!

I've not really had enough experience to say what I think is the best circuit but memories of Cadwell Park earlier this year always make me smile. It has a nice atmosphere/feel about the place as well as being a challenging drive.

THE RING is the ultimate, done it many times, however this year was the 1st in the NOBLE and by far the best.
Would love to do SPA next year and combine the two.
May well be going on the 20th Nov to the ring, however I do have concerns about the Corsa's in November at the Ring!!!

As some of you know I don't track due to the stupid amounts I spend on rallying but so as not to feel excluded, albeit bringing nothing to the true thread matter my best memories are;

1. The first time I had ever 'yumped' in a rally car, 3 foot of clear air - Longcross many moons ago

2. My first ever gravel experience on the Rally of Kent. Setting a fastest in class time before throwing it at the scenery 5 stages later!

3. Being driven around most of the Monte Carlo GP circuit in a tuned Impreza by a nutcase friend who lives there. Cars parked everywhere - pant filling experience!!

As far as tracks I would say Donny would be good, or Brands Int Circuit.

In the UK, it has to be Donington or Brands GP for me. Oulton Park is nice (but barriers are close), as is Croft.

Overseas, Spa is the daddy, but Dijon is great too, and I really enjoyed a trip to Ledenon recently.

Goodwood. It's a fast, bumpy, old-school circuit that's tailor-made for the M400. It also has an atmosphere that's un-matched by any other Brit circuit, IMO. Cue the posts about it being too dangerous, but I detest Mickey Mouse tracks with slow, tight bends that look like they've been designed by committee.

Wow 2 votes for Croft and one for Knockhill, but surely they are oop north, do they really have tarmacced circuits up there?

Would love to do the porsche curves at Le Mans.......and look forward to next years British Sprint at Croft again (not in the noble I hasten to add!)

EU - Spa

Other favourites in UK - Oulton, Cadwell, Anglesea (in an Elise). Least favourites Goodwood, Rockingham (sorry, Simon), Castle Coombe.
BaT will be doing a double header at Spa around 24-26 Aug 2006. Be nice to have the Nobility there in force...

Slow mikey mouse bends? Donnington has - Redgate, Hollywood, Craner (skip Old hair pin skip) Starkeys, Schwanz. No No Simon, Donnington defeats this argument before we've even begun to look at Brands. Looking at Goodwood most of the track looks like its been laid by a committee! Challenging yes - fun no.

Donington also has Coppice, over a crest on entrance and very slippery in the wet due to the air craft fuel on it, it is an awesome circuit, so flowing (in national formation)
