Wheels on the last built Chims?

Friend of mine is trying to import a Chim into France and they need all sorts of "Conformity" certification. His car has 16" wheels all round (fronts changed by Henley's a couple of years back as 15in not available) but the Certificate from the Factory says 15in fronts.

Anybody bought/have a late Chim on 16in from the factory? Having a spot of bother with them on providing authentication.

I think all the late facelift ones(with enclosed headlamps etc) had 16" F&R as standard if that is of any help.

I think from about 2000 on wards all chims had 16" wheels all round. TVR couldn't get the 15" either!

Hi 225, does it specify 16in all round in your handbook? Are they 7.5in wide F & R? What size tyres do you have?

My understanding is the reason they went over to 16" F&R was that TVR ran out of 15" rims. Therefore the rims fitted(5 or 7 spoke) were all rear ones.
Tyre sizes were:

F 225/45ZR16

R 225/50ZR16 or 245/45ZR16

To help with Regulartory Conformance I want to know if this size was ever published - eg. in the handbook. Otherwise it just looks like sombody fitted the 'wrong' wheels to the front.

BTW - the Factory were not very helpful on this.....

If he's really strugling I'd consider a swop my 15s for 16s if tyres are fair

Might be an option - how do you fancy a trip to Geneva for the swap?

From memory they are 225 45 ZR 16 at the front and 245 45 ZR 16 at the rear.
