The throttle response on my newly acquired Mkll GT3 seems very leisurely. I guess partly due to the dual-mass flywheel (how expensive is it to fit a lighter flywheel?).
As the throttle is electronic, is there anything I can ask Porsche to do to "speed up" the response, so that the revs rise faster when you blip the throttle. Also the revs seem to drop very slowly when you lift off the throttle fast, so maybe it's a tuning problem?
Can anyone help?

Did you ever drive any other ones as your comments, and the ones about lacklustre performance vs the gallardo make me wonder if your car is quite right?

If its ok, you could always fit a single mass flywheel and uprated clutch as per the RS. Makes it a bit jerky for passengers on the upshift as the revs drop very quickly.

Even with the dual mass fly that sounds unusual - I certainly wouldn't call it slow, might be worth getting it plugged in/checked by an OPC or at least comparing to another GT3 if you can.

The lightweight flywheel and "track day" clutch (as porsche call it) will cost about £1200 in parts and about 8 hours labour - you might be able to get it cheaper at an indie etc. It does have its good and bad points though, so consider your type of driving before getting it fitted (is a pain in stop/start traffic as car is a lot more "jumpy".

Agreed - something doesn't sound right... Worth getting it checked.

Thanks for these comments - I'll get it checked at the OPC. I only drove this one before buying - perhaps I should have tried a couple of others.
