come on then suggestions.....

I like my burgers, so I'd like to know if anyone has found a place that sells top burgers in london.

I read somewhere that a restaurant specially made a burger for Pierce Brosnan (should have been bond again ) from some japenesse steak that was around £50 a pop !

Cheers

Michael

Is that Kobe beef? I had some of that last month and it was yummy. Not sure it was any yummier than any other well-prepared decent cut of beef though.

There's Real Burger in Clapham that does some nice ones. It was featured on some TV programme or other ages ago too I think.

The best burgers are served at BBQs though. Doesn't matter what the hell's in them or how frazzled they are, when you've been on the grog waiting for them to cook they're just the best.

there is a TGI Fridays opposite Planet Hollywood that does a Ultimate Friday Burger for about £15. these are very nice. Or a Wendy Burger.

probably Kobe Beef is supposed to be the best in the world. I think the cows are fed on beer and get treated well or something. Lots of fat in the meat but when cooked it all drains away leaving the flavour and lightening the wallet.

I had a great burger from some Aussie-run place (OK, that doesn't narrow it down!) near Euston station once. They did all sorts, including Buffalo, Kangaroo, Ostrich - you name it, it came as a burger. Very reasonable prices too. Pity I can't remember the name.

It looks like a bit of a dive though. You've got loud music, live football, and it's the sort of place where there's only one bog and the door's off it's hinges.

It's on a corner and when I was in there it was full of students. Got porthole-lookalike windows down the side IIRC.

Kobe beef is proper bo.

Burgers in London, tricky, tricky...

Gourment Burger Kitchen, Hampstead, Hammersmith, Putney, few other places very good indeed.

All the big places up West (dahling!) do a burger of varying qualities.

Cant think of anywhere truly amazing though, not like that $55 burger in New York

They're fed beer and given a massage every day I believe. Lucky blighters (well, apart from the electric helmet treatment afterwards of course).

Kobe beef is bloody great!

Had a Kobe Beef Burger in a restaurant (cant remember its name) opposite Masons Hall in the city. I think it was about £25 but the GF's dad was paying for it so it didnt matter

Well the best of the best is the Burger King at Paddington. You do have to be very pissed and ideally cold and waiting for a train, then it tastes like the manna from heaven. Of course I made the mistake of having one from there in the daytime when sober and was instantly sick. Go figure.

Lucky 7, the US style Conran-run diner on Westbourne Park Road, just down from the Cow. Excellent shakes and breakfasts too.
