All our local wardens are immigrants. This isn't an 'over here taking our jobs etc' post, merely pointing out that someone who wants to come to this country to work, is going to take the first thing they can, in this case traffic wardening(?).

One ticketed me outside my house two weeks ago.

Its a job... Someone has to do it, in the same vein that some poor bugger has to go into sewers, etc. I persobnally don't have a problem with traffic wardens, as I park legally anyway. People can moan, and complain all they want, but at the end of the day if it is double yellow, or a pay and display car park, you only have yourself to blame...

I think being a bit dim is a prerequisite for the job too. A few doors down from where I work was a car, it had been there for several weeks - so I assumed abandoned. The local wardens however seemed to know better since every available square inch of the windscreen had a yellow penalty charge docket stuck to it - idiots.

They've been advertising round here for 'transport regulation executives' or somesuch bollox and the starting pay is c. £15K so god knows why anyone would do it. Maybe they've just given up on life?

Not so sure, don't they get paid on the basis of how many tickets they issue?

In which case they are sensibly using a stupid rule/way of being paid to increase their wages.

"executive" why the does everybody have to be an executive and have a career these days rather than just having a job like 99% of people actually do.

Erm..Yeah..I'm a lentilist . What type of response were you after then? posts like these are rarely here to inform, and cause debate, rather they are here to have a good moan at them.

Given the choice between £44 a week and £15kpa, which would you take?

If more people took jobs that they regard to be below them, maybe society would be better off.
