Tho ive never seen a pic, I reckon you could a volume-car engine an power an mbike with it, i reckon small enough could be an - inline 3cyl or 4 cyl or a V5 ?
An what of their day2day urban useability i wonder?
so wot u guys say?

I'd guess it would ride similarly to a Harley - reasonable torque but no high revs

Yeah, it can be done, but the power to weight ratio sucks, the bike is really heavy, and it's an arse trying to sort the gearchange out. Tends to be done by diesel bike enthusiasts due to the lack of other choices, and by trike builders who have less of a problem with the weight issues.

I recall seeing a modified Norton with a V8, think it was a Rover V8 but you really have to ask, Why?

thats ok, an a colleague is looking for a car-engined bike, an as long as its useable thats ok,..tho anybody know who sells them an what kind'a price is average?

well, its coz all he ever sees on road are mundane bikes, so he prefers a bike type you seldom see, an as a car engined one isn't your routine fare, he's looking to buy one them, as also they're engine note is different as well + their performance.

ps- a friend last week told him he may try to build him one from a VW 1.0 petrol engine.
