Bikes powered by Car engines...Rideable?
Discussion
Yeah, it can be done, but the power to weight ratio sucks, the bike is really heavy, and it's an arse trying to sort the gearchange out. Tends to be done by diesel bike enthusiasts due to the lack of other choices, and by trike builders who have less of a problem with the weight issues.

I'd guess it would ride similarly to a Harley - reasonable torque but no high revs
Why dose he want a car engined bike, as a talking point?

fortjefferson said:well, its coz all he ever sees on road are mundane bikes, so he prefers a bike type you seldom see, an as a car engined one isn't your routine fare, he's looking to buy one them, as also they're engine note is different as well + their performance.

ps- a friend last week told him he may try to build him one from a VW 1.0 petrol engine.
