bit confused about ' chavs '
Discussion
Right,we have the uber tracksuit,the hood/baseball cap,the chains,and burberry.
When someone dresses like this, they know they are dressing like a ' chav ' , so do some people 'aspire' to be chavs ?,as in its cool to be a chav ?,or would they be offended by getting called one ? .. I'm lost

It would appear to me than if someone calls someone else a chav then all they are saying is that that they think they are better than them.
Timeless snobbery with new terms.
HTH.
True - I don't have a problem with this. I like to think I'm better than some yobbo who spends all day leaning against the window of McDonalds, spitting, insulting passers-by and stealing things.
Not much better admittedly, though I lean against the window of Help the Aged
