Anyone recommend a dumb access point? I just need to connect into my existing home network, so I don't need routers, firewalls, DHCP servers, blah, blah, just a dumb WiFi to Ethernet AP.

There are some limitations with the linksys stuff when it comes to bridging and similar. It'll only do it with other Linksys kit.
Not sure exactly which setups are linksys only. The only thing I do know is that if the linksys is set up as an access point, other non-linksys kit can act as AP clients and connect. I get the impression it doesn't work the other way round (non linksys AP, linksys AP Client)

Yeah - bridging can be tricky with different brands. I tend to stick to one if bridging or AP in client mode etc.

I think he wants a dumb AP though so shouldn't have any problems. I find them very stable. I have 4 knocking about here.

Dumb is good. I have no need of the "features" of most wireless kit, so I'd rather not have them.
