Not really wedge related but, I have just bought a length of fuel pipe, the clear braided type. It says on the wrapper "8mm clear braided petrol pipe with clips. Unsuitable for unleaded fuel." Anyone any idea as to why? I thought it would do for all types of fuel

Unleaded fuel contains compounds (Benzene I believe) that attack ordinary rubber hose. Hose for unleaded fuel has a (Nitrile?) liner to protect it from this.

Also note that anything used in an F.I. set-up must be able to cope with high pressures. The last lot I bought was SAE100 R6 rated at 400 PSI.

Cheers guys, It seem you never to old to learn. Exchanged it for some proper pipe now so everything is ok.
